At Boothstown Medical Centre in Worsley the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
The surgery has been at its present location for approximately 70 years and has been extended and modernised over the years. We have easy access for the disabled and there is parking at the front and rear of the building.
Our practice area covers Mosley Common, Boothstown, Astley, Tyldesley, and Ellenbrook.
We believe in providing personal, continuing medical care and try to ensure that you can see the doctor of your choice within 48 hours, whenever possible by requesting your preferred doctor at the time of booking an appointment. Routine appointments can be booked with a doctor up to four weeks in advance
Please ensure your contact details including telephone numbers are up-to-date. We may need to contact you for test results ect. So it is essential we have your correct telephone numbers. We also have an appointment reminder system via text message. Please ensure we have your current mobile phone number so you can benefit from this service.
All patients registered at Boothtown Medical Centre are free to see any GP of their choice, however each patient has a named accountable GP. Your named accountable GP is Dr Anderson. Your named GP has overall responsiblity for you but please feel free to request an appointment with any Doctor who may be available.
All consultations are by appointment. You can be seen the same day in the Nurse Practitioner Triage Surgery. We provide telephone consultations where examination is not needed and suits both you and the doctor
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to complete a travel questionnaire (available in reception) and then the practice will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
Please allow 12 weeks notice prior to your holiday. This will ensure you will be fully covered for any diseases.
